Deputy Chairman of the Four Construction Training Group, Tony Reed has over 10 years of experience working within Health & Safety. Tony is currently employed as the full time Health, Safety & Training Manager for QDL Contractors a Building, Maintenance & Decorating company based in Treharris, South Wales.
QDL pride themselves on continually updating and maintaining workforce training so they are more adequately qualified to work alongside high standards of today’s construction sites.
Tony’s current responsibilities at QDL Contractors Ltd include:
- Developing Health & Safety Construction Phase plans (site specific)
- Maintaining our CHAS, Constructionline and SMAS accreditations
- Site safety auditing
- Site specific risk assessments and method statements
- Identifying training needs within the company to ensure QDL Contractors Ltd are compliant to current regulations
- Delivering in-house training form MEWPS, face-fit and first aid
- Executive member of Four Construction Training Group and full member of International Institute of Risk & Safety Management
- Mentor our apprenticeship program through the CITB
